Layla & Noor

Layla & Noor is an original abstract diptych comprising two complementary paintings designed to be displayed together.

Named after night and light, the pair explores the beautiful relationship between darkness and illumination.

Built around deep forest greens, soft olive and almost-black tones, each canvas captures this contrast in its own way. The colours emerge slowly, with blurred edges, subtle circular marks and layers that reveal themselves the longer you look.

Noor, is the brighter of the two, with soft olive greens gradually fading into a darker base. Layla, offers a different perspective, with a gentle opening of green surrounded by deeper, moodier shades.

I love how these two paintings work together without being identical. There's a quiet balance between them, with each bringing something different to the composition.

Understated, atmospheric and full of subtle detail, Layla & Noor is designed to be appreciated as one complete artwork.
