Paloma

Original painting, Dubai, UAE

Paloma is a little mysterious, a little wild, and wonderfully unpredictable.

Layers of deep violet, midnight blue and dusty pink come together in a tangle of sweeping brushstrokes, delicate loops and flashes of white, black and burnt orange. There's a beautiful sense of movement to this piece, as though nothing quite wants to sit still.

From across the room, the colours blend into a rich, moody composition, but get a little closer and you'll discover all sorts of unexpected details. Marks hidden beneath layers of paint, delicate lines weaving through bolder strokes, and little moments of colour you might not have noticed at first.

I wanted Paloma to feel spontaneous and a little untamed. The kind of piece that doesn't need everything to make sense, where the beauty is in letting things happen and seeing where they take you.
